Hard Ciders 101: What are Hard Ciders?
Blanche Neige Absinthe
Absinthe
Description
Blanche Neige Absinthe is a La Bleue variety crafted exclusively for absinthe enthusiasts. This crystal-clear absinthe embodies the essence of the alpine region, delivering a delightful blend of alpine freshness with a fruity, minty undertone of wormwood. The aroma is a harmonious marriage of wormwood, fennel, and anise, with each element distinctly pronounced. Upon the addition of iced water, Blanche Neige Absinthe undergoes a gradual transformation, creating a thick and inviting louche. Unlike the dense, creamy white louche often found in absinthes heavy on star anise and fennel from the Val-de-Travera region, Blanche Neige offers a more refined and sophisticated louche, embodying the true spirit of Swiss La Bleue absinthe.
Taste - Minty, fruity and with a very fine lingering alpine freshness that stays forever.
ABV - 53%
Price - $ 85.0
How to Serve
To enjoy this style of traditional absinthe pour one measure of Blanche Neige Absinthe into a glass. Then add 2 – 4 parts ice water. Upon adding iced water it produces a steady, thick and very inviting louche.
Ingredients
wormwood, fennel, and anise. There might be a hint of what could be pontica and genepi that is supposed to be in the Blanche Neige mix.
Best Pairing
A decadent cheese, such as goat cheese, complements absinthe beautifully, while the addition of onions enhances the spirit's savory and herbaceous qualities. Absinthe's robust flavor holds its ground when paired with hearty dishes like steaks, burgers, and substantial cuts of meat.
